My new Gucci belt

 My new Gucci belt

There's nothing more than a very nice way to celebrate the end of lockdown by making making a purchase on a nice designer belt right? That's what we did, on the day that Alert Level 3 expired, and Auckland was back at Alert Level 2.5 (and we still are). Since my birthday was a month away, and that the belt was also in trend, we decided to go to Gucci to buy the belt.

The staff were very nice and helpful and helped me choose the correct size, and find the style that I liked, and in the end, we bought the plain belt with the gold "GG" logo (as shown above in the picture). The belt was a plain black leather one, with a rustic gold GG logo as the hardware. It was a slim belt.

I loved the way they packaged the belt upon purchase. It came with a nice black and white Gucci box, with a ribbon tied to it and it was packaged neatly into a paper bag by the staff when we bought the belt. (The good thing about Gucci is that they don't use tacky, cheap and environmentally damaging plastic bags - they use paper bags to package purchases - in New Zealand, disposable plastic bags are banned now, fortunately anyways due to the fact single use plastic bags are bad for the environment.)

What I love about this belt is that it is versatile, and it can be worn either as a belt on the thigh, or the waist (or even in between), due to the width and thickness of the belt, and it's not too wide or to narrow which makes it more versatile. Additionally, the belt is black in colour with gold colour hardware, meaning that it is quite easy to pair with other clothes such as dresses, jumpsuits, shorts, and blazers, and even just about anything (although pants and jeans is the true classic match)! It also has the Gucci logo as the hardware (the "GG" logo) which indicates that the belt is an iconic Gucci one.

It may be expensive (It was slightly more than $500 NZD), but the belt is well worth the price, given the quality and the design of it, and the fact that it is in trend. It is also very versatile and can be worn on different types of outfits. I highly recommend belts like this to anyone who is a huge fan of designer or luxury brands, likes to wear and use belts, and who likes to wear what celebrities, influencers, bloggers and other idols wear, as well as following fashion trends.

*If you're in New Zealand, like me, then Auckland is the only place I know of where you can go to buy Gucci items that are not perfume, sunglasses or makeup, unfortunately. New Zealand does not have much in the way of international high end luxury fashion, apart from a few brands like the one mentioned in this blog (Gucci).
